Father’s Day is celebrated in many parts of the world at different times of the year, but in India, Father’s Day is celebrated on the third Sunday in June. This day is celebrated to acknowledge and appreciate the role of fathers who play a very important role in our families, and in society at large. Children look forward to this day and make their dads feel special with their gestures.
A father is a role model, guide, superhero, friend and protector who stands by his children at all moments. They are the ones who teach us the right value of life and pick us up when we fall and give us the strength to fight again. Hence, to acknowledge a father’s sacrifice, every year Father’s Day is celebrated across the globe.
Fathers Day is celebrated with a lot of love in India. Children give cards, gifts and flowers to their fathers. Some go out to dine and spend the day with their fathers as well.
